I had to go up to Ft. Lauderdale this morning and decided to check out a park on the way. I left south dade early and arrived at Anne Kolb Nature Center at 7:30 am. I spent an hour or so walking on the board walks.

I was disappointed with the bird count.

1 Mocking Bird
1 Yellow Rump
1 White Ibis
1 Little Blue Heron
1 Red Start
1 Turkey Vulture

and Heard a Red Bellied Woodpecker and Cardinal.

That was it. Nice board walks and information center, but was amazed at the lack of birds and wildlife in general.

Just wondering if this is normal.
