On the evening of 8/21, I saw a Burrowing Owl sitting in the middle of SW 237 Avenue.

From the end of SW 168 Street, head south on SW 237 Avenue for approximately 2.1 miles. I saw a Burrowing Owl twice between that point and the gate farther south, so I like saw more than one individual. Having cruised this road many times over the past six years, this is the first time I've seen Burrowing Owls in this area.

A Limpkin was seen, and Common Nighthawks were numerous on the roads. Other wildlife included Peninsula Ribbon Snakes, Eastern Garter Snakes, Florida Banded Water Snakes, one Striped Crayfish Snake, and one five-foot Burmese Python.
