: We started the day with a line up of swallows in the parking lot at Wakodahatchee-Tree, Cave and Northern Rough-winged and Martins one wire over.

The Cave Swallows were of the Texas/North Mexico race. While sitting on the wire, they were easily ID'd by their light-colored throats, high contrast between the dark and light areas on the head (cap + buglar mask), and gray-brown (no rufous or cinnamon) flanks.
