I spent a few hours at Lucky Hammock/The Annex on Saturday morning. Not too much in the way of Fall migrants. On my way out, I stopped to listen to a White-eyed Vireo that was singing in the trees by the front edge of the Hammock. As luck would have it, a Blue Grosbeak flew into the tree and stopped long enough to eat something that could have been a berry or seed. Here are birds seen:
Green Heron
White Ibis
Black Vulture
Turkey Vulture
White-tailed Kite
Red-shouldered Hawk
Killdeer
Yellowlegs sp.
Mourning Dove
Belted Kingfisher
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Great Crested Flycatcher
Purple Martin
Cliff Swallow
Barn Swallow
American Crow
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Northern Mockingbird
Loggerhead Shrike
European Starling
White-eyed Vireo
Prairie Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Northern Cardinal
Blue Grosbeak
Red-winged Blackbird
Boat-tailed Grackle
