Started late morning at Indian Hammocks Park. Warblers were limited to 1 N. Parula and 1 female Redstart. Highlight was a light Short-tailed Hawk cicling low overhead. Also had White-crowned Pigeon, Barn and Cliff Swallows, BG Gnatcatchers and the usual residents.
Jake Tucker called to meet up with him at MDC Environmental Center. Warblers were not numerous, N. Parula, Ovenbird (FOS), and Louisiana Waterthrush. Good number of Cardinals. Some highlights were Chimney Swifts overhead with Barn and Cliff Swallows, Red-eyed Vireos, Gnatcatchers, Brown Thrasher.
Good variety of butterflies: Atala, Giant and Polydamas Swallowtails, Julia, Ruddy Daggerwing, Zebra, Gulf Fritillary, Cloudless and Orange-barred Sulphurs, Hammock Skipper and Horace's Duskywing.
