Loop Road UFO

John & Geraldine Sanderson from the [Ft. Myers] Caloosa Bird Club (have I mentioned this group before?) gave me this photo of a bird photographed on Loop Road in the Big Cypress National Preserve. (Cf. Pranty p. 199 for map and p. 200 for text). The bird was photographed by the Sanderson's friends Karen & Tony Colenbrander from Canada who were in south Florida vacationing & birding a few weeks back. I'm stumped as to what it could be other than some unfamiliar escaped exotic. To me, it doesn't even look real! Anyboby?

If anyone wants to know the exact date the bird was photographed and where (Loop Road goes thru three counties as you know: Collier, Monroe & Miami-Dade), I'll try to oblige.
