Waxwings in small flocks feeding in the Brazilian Pepper trees in the residential area 2 blocks south of the Broward County courthouse. Just about anywhere in five block area where vacant lots and old homes await conversion to office buildings.
No sound from these waxwings. No "trilling"....just flitting and feeding and dropping down to drink at curbside pools of water.
Try SW 2nd Ave and 6th street. A large ficus tree and a weedy lot with several BPs was very entertaiing with warblers and waxwings. (guess that means we are down to the W's?)
