This morning I searched for the Cuban Grassquit spotted yesterday by Toe. It briefly sang but was not able to locate it and never saw it. There were some migrants around, some in full song. Birds seen were:
Mourning Dove
Collared Dove
Red-bellied Woodpecker (many and very active)
Gray Kingbird
Yellow-throated Vireo (FOS) was singing
Barn Swallow
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
N. Parula (singing)
Pine Warbler (FOS)
Prairie Warbler (one bird sang)
Am. Redstart (male and female)
Louisiana Waterthrush
N. Cardinal (many around, with young)
