Hi there. I was able to get a very good look at the black-throated gray warbler at Seacrest Scrub with fellow birder Ruth Slayter a while back, but I think was before your count. I'll check my records and get back to you if interested. It was in a mixed flock of pine, palm, yellow-rumped, and a single yellow-throated warblers. Noted the distinctive yellow dot before the eye. Went back this past Friday to look for again and didn't find

: If anyone saw the Black-throated Gray Warbler at Boyton Beach's Seacrest Scrub Natural Area during the GBBC (Great Backyard Bird Count) period, would you please report it as I don't see it having been reported on the state checklist for 2005. The time frame for the GBBC was from February 18-21. Likewise, all Florida birders who were birding anywhere in the state should have a look at the GBBC results to see (and report) their sightings as well, especially those sightings for which no records for Florida for 2005 exist. Another bird I know of that has not been reported is the Black Point Glaucus Gull. What about Greater Flamingo at ENP? I'm sure there are several others. Realize that this is "citizen science" and a method for "every-day birders" to make a contribution to the ornithology of the state. Florida's GBBC totals are currently ranked 4th in the country I believe.

: You can report your GBBC sightings for the proper day in the count period up until March 1, 2005. It's easy! Go to:
