I would stick with the Florida Scrub Jay, an endemic species found nowhere else on earth! Short-tailed Hawk is nice but can sometimes be found in Arizona, Texas and way south of the border. Swallow-tailed Kites are awesome birds but are found in many other states. Northern Mockingbirds are really cool birds and have a fantastic song. But.... they are found in many, many states, Mexico and in the Caribbean.

The only logical bird is the FLORIDA SCRUB JAY! The state tried to put it as a state bird years ago, but it failed to make it which was stupid in my opinion.
