Considering today's date, there was a nice pulse of warblers this morning in Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP. I had limited time, so only covered middle and south portions of the dirt Nature Trail and found: American Redstart, Northern Parula (7), Black-and-white (2), Prairie (26) and Prothonotary Warblers (2). Other migrants were Blue-gray Gnatcatchers (6) and Cliff and Barn Swallows. Yellow-throated Warbler and Louisiana Waterthrush were on Virginia Key yesterday afternoon. As I left, an adult light-morph Short-tailed Hawk was circling with 8 Black Vultures.
