in 2001, the Underground Holistic Birding Movement saw the following at A.D. Barnes:
10+ Red-eyed Vireos
MANY Blue Gray Gnatcatchers (>30)
4 Yellow-throated Warblers (all yellow lored subspecies)
7 Prairie Warblers (6 young birds, 1 adult)
1 Northern Parula (young bird)
2 Black-and-white Warblers (both female with extensive brown in wings...one almost perched on my nose while pishing!)
1 Prothonotary (Male)
2 Black-throated Blue Warblers (both male, one missing a tail)
4 American Redstarts
Since we don't have any good recent reports, might as well look to the past in hopes of calling in some birds, as maybe some birders too. Hopefully we'll have a REALLY good report from the sod farms this weekend.
