They occur in south Florida every 2 or 3 years. This year, earlier in February, thousands upon thousands were seen in the Miami area. I think someone remarked this was the best year for robins since 1988. You probably saw a good amount, because they were just everywhere. Most of the time you see these robins in migration, they will be in good sized flocks and in flight, barely ever landing for you. I have not seen a robin in just over a week.
