Paul-the-other,
if you're headed west on HWY 41 from its intersection with Krome Ave, go all the way (about an hour's drive) until you pass Collier-Seminole State Park. You want to be on the lookout for the Greenway Rd sign on your right-hand side and immediately turn right on it. The intersection of Greenway and Fritchey is the next thing you're going to be looking for (a few streets down), turn right on that. The owls are approx. 25 yards down Fritchey on your left hand side, in the cypress trees. Further down Greenway, the first road you were on, is where the Yellow-headed Blackbirds are, along the fields of Rogers farms. Good luck.

Vince,
the boat ramp we mentioned is off HWY 41 in Miami-Dade, very close to the intersection I mentioned above to Paul. It is just west of the Miccosukee Hotel and Casino, next to the S-334 structure/pump. Sacred Ibis have been seen here and there in both Miami-Dade and Collier, sometimes flying in small flocks of up to six! This particular one seemed in good health, feeding away among scores of its native relatives. With the water levels as low as they are in WCA-3B, this is actually quite a spectacle to watch them feed and take great photographs. Cheers.

Bill,
what can I say...you're right! The "re" in front of the word "introduced" was a typo on Paul's behalf. I blame the Ybor Brown. Good Birding.

RJ
