A.D. Barnes was pretty birdy this morning, perhaps due to the sporadic rain showers that occurred throughout the night. I had no Red-eyed Vireos or American Redstart in this batch of migrants, even though I had multiples of both species last weekend. However, this batch included my first Prairie Warblers and Northern Parulas of fall migration:
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher: 2
Louisiana Waterthrush (homeless hammock: southeast portion of park)
Black-and-white Warbler: 9
Northern Parula: 4
Yellow-throated Warbler: 4
Prairie Warbler: 6
There were also four Spot-breasted Orioles in the southeast portion of the park, including two beautiful adults and two juvenile (HY) birds.
