Orchard Orioles and Cowbirds at Flamingo

At Flamingo on 7/14 there were Seven Orchard Orioles in the Strangler Figs in front of the visitor center and a small but interesting flock of cowbirds consisting of two Shiny, a juvenile Bronze, and two juvenile Brown-headed in the boat trailer parking area in front of the marina.

At Royal Palm Hammock on 7/15 there was at least one Louisiana Waterthrush on Gumbo Limbo Trail and another on Old Ingraham Highway along with several Blue-gray Gnatcatchers and a singing Black-whiskered Vireo. At Aerojet Road the only interesting birds seen were Swallow-tailed Kites and a White-tailed Kite.
