The ist winter Glaucous Gull found by Jeff & Miguel (nicely done!) was present this morning at 0830, visible by bins & scope from the end of the point. It was in full view on a rock at first, but was chased off by a 1st winter Great Black-backed Gull after about 10 minutes and ducked in behind a group of cormorants, Laughing Gulls and White Pelicans. At that point, only its head and back were visible.

Among other birds seen/heard were Least Sandpiper, Ruddy Turnstone, Semipalmated Plover, Herring Gull, Red-breasted Merganser, American Goldfinch, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Northern Waterthrush, and a singing Praire Warbler.
