A walk around Miami Shores this morning produced many good birds. In just an hour of walking around a fairly small area, I had a female Cooper's Hawk eating a Gray Squirrel in one of my oak trees, 3 sapsuckers (in the same tree!), about 1,000 American Robins, 4 flocks of waxwings, about 90 individuals total, Yellow-rumped, Palm, and Yellow-throated Warblers, a beautiful Spot-breasted Oriole, and plenty of the usual, including a healhty number of Blue Jays. Keep them coming...
