I also spent Saturday at ENP, for the most part by myself though I did run into the group at Anhinga trail in the evening. I spent the morning on the coastal prairie trail in Flamingo, and after a lot of work managed a quick but definitive look at a Saltmarsh Sharp-tailed Sparrow. There were a few Hermit Thrushes at Mahagonay Hammock and on the Gumbo Limbo trail. I stayed at Anhinga for several hours in the evening and into the night and was rewarded with a glimpse of the Barn Owl as it flew overhead. Several Barred Owls started calling in the distance around sunset, and two were duetting in the parking lot. There was one crazy minute when I heard the barred owls in the parking lot, followed by the barn owl, followed by the screech owl.
