A check of the 2001 Archives includes a post from Edith Einspruch on 3/7 of S-T Kites flying over Kendall Drive near Red Road (possibly to Dante Fascell Park); a post from Bill Boeringer on 3/14 with a location of Red Road and Ponce de Leon Blvd.; and a post from Jeff Weber on 3/28/01 indicating on Sunset just east of S.W. 72 Avenue. In the spring of 1992 (pre-Andrew) S-T Kites had a successful nest in Dante Fascell Park, located on Red Road and Kendall Drive. In 2001 a nest was located in Barnes Park, S.W. 72 Avenue just north of Bird Road (S.W. 40 Street). Good birding!
