Vince, Least Bitterns should get easier to find at Wakodahatchee if they are there this spring and courting, then feeding the chicks. I don't remember their timetable from last year, but they were very obvious during those periods of their lives.
Also, haven't heard much about the Virginia Rail lately, I will find out if any of the volunteers there are still seeing it.

: : : Yes to all of the above, plus i also saw four sora and a Virginia rail there last week. Other more fortunate birders also had a bittern.
: Hi:
: Gee, I hope this isn't a sure sign of my ineptitude as a birder, but when I was there last week on our way to "tick" the Black-headed Gull at Sebastian Inlet, I couldn't find the Virginia Rail (a Florida bird for me) nor either bittern. Least would have been a lifer for my British friend. We did have a couple of Soras.
: Speaking of Least Bittern, does anyone know of a "sure" place for this bird? My friend is willing to travel.
: Good birding!
