Players in the June Challenge continue to report good birds to add to the cumulative list:
David S. has Black-whiskered Vireos summering in his yard.
Bill Boeringer gave me the heads up that he also had Limpkin and Common Yellowthroat along Tamiami Trail, along with a Spot-breasted Oriole in a residential neighborhood.
Angel and Mariel Abreu racked up several good shorebirds, including Red Knot, Short-billed Dowitcher, and Willet. They also had a Sandwich Tern.
Finally, Larry Manfredi and Phillip were working on their June Challenge lists today, adding Black-bellied Whistling-Duck (Cutler Wetlands), Brown-headed Nuthatch, Eastern Bluebird, and Brown Thrasher (the last three in Everglades National Park).
Coming up out of nowhere!
Carlos
