I had the same number of birds fly by in the mid-80's. I was fishing for Snook off of the Venetian Causeway. What makes this sighting really weird is that this was about 3:00 a.m.!!! The birds flew low to the water heading south and then went up and over the bridge! It was a very strange sight seeing these birds at that time of morning, with downtown Miami as a background!
