Hi everyone,

I will be compiling the cumulative effort for Miami-Dade birders this year for the June Challenge. Currently, we are aching for shorebirds and migrant warblers, so if you see a field with some shorebirds or see an American Redstart or Blackpoll Warbler in your yard, let me know.

There are lots of other birds still needed for the list, but here are some trickier species to keep an eye out:

Northern Bobwhite
Wild Turkey
Least Bittern
Reddish Egret
White-tailed Kite
Snail Kite
Bald Eagle
King Rail
Sandhill Crane
Sandwich Tern
Gull-billed Tern
White-winged Parakeet
Mangrove Cuckoo
Great Horned Owl
Black-whiskered Vireo
Barn Swallow
Seaside Sparrow

Send these or other sightings of note for June to:

tsunamicarlos@gmail.com

Thanks!

Carlos
