I was delighted to somewhat easily relocate the Bananaquit this morning at 7:25 AM in the smaller bottlebrush tree in the courtyard. However, it spent most of the morning (up until I left around 10:30 AM) hanging out in the large bottlebrush tree at the corner of the courtyard next the the parking lot. It was often seen in loose association with the Cape May Warbler. About every 15 minutes it would fly off into the large ficus tree further inside the courtyard.

I would also like to note that the staff that I encountered at the Best Western were very intruiged and accomadating of our birding exploits. It is nice to have both well behaved birders and gracious hosts (which can be rare at times these days unfortunately...)

The Black-throated Gray Warbler was also seen today by a quite a few birders this morning...but "seen" is a rather relative word in this case (the warblers were go, go, go...). My "extremely excellent look" consisted of only 10-15 seconds after scanning throught the cornucopia of Pine Warblers.
