Yesterday (1/13) 7 macaws were seen in 3 groups simultaneously from my 6th floor office near UM. 2 flew S/SW parallel to US1, 2 more were moving W towards UM campus, and 3 were farther east moving around in High Pines. I agree that UM/Doc Thomas birds are single group, and are also the same ones seen on occasion at Matheson. I'm not sure there's a different Grove flock, though. I have seen pairs of Macaws midway between UM and the Grove (such as at US1 & Douglas, and US1 & 32nd). On the other hand, I've also seen them over I-95 just north of downtown, which I wouldn't believe to be part of the UM group.
