On Sunday 9th Jan, a visit to Fern Forest to try and relocate the Blue-winged Warbler first reported 11th Dec was successful. It was in the same general area as before, near the boardwalk behind the nature center where the Cypress Creek Trail loop starts/ends (there is a double sign set back from the boardwalk and a bench at the intersection). The first 20 yards in all three directions are good for warblers. The Blue-winged was with a small warbler flock comprising Black-throated Blue, Prairie, Parula and Black-throated Green.

Exit I-95 at Atlantic Blvd. in Pompano Beach and go west to Lyon's Road. Fern Forest is only a few blocks south of Atlantic and the entrance is on the west side of Lyon's. Fern Forest opens at 8:00 AM and there is no entrance fee. DeLorme p.115,C2.
