Congratulations to the officers involved. I hope they were able to photograph the PBs and set them free, rather than keeping them as evidence. As for the perps, they should keep them forever.

: On Wednesday, December 29, Officer Sarah Hahner and Investigator Jon Conti received information that Miami-Dade County detectives were detaining two subjects at US 27 and NW 170th Avenue for a suspected violation of the Migratory Bird Act. The subjects had three Painted Buntings, two improvised bird traps, and a cage in possession. One of the subjects had a felony warrant and was transported to jail. Both subjects were charged with possession and trapping of Painted Buntings.
