Just to prove that some of us are still birding...
I went to Wakodahatchee Wetlands this morning and beyond the many colonial nesters that are finishing I found a few new families.
Black-bellied Whistling-Duck (9 chicks)
Mottled Duck (8 chicks)
Purple Gallinule (3 families; 7+ chicks)
Black-necked Stilt (3 families; 6+ chicks)
Least Bittern were the only year bird for me, with several flying around all morning.
