Need help on IDing a Couple of birds in Coral Gables

I saw a small bird in a tree with crested head feathers that was mostly dark gray with some reddish tinged. I checked ebird sightings in Miami and did not find it. I also searched my Audubon iPad app and could not find it either. I was thinking the crested head feathers was pretty unique for this bird making it easy to identify. Someone had suggested a red whiskered Bulbul but it had no white and the crest is not as prominent.

I also saw a small bird that was black with some speckles - brown I think - that was on the ground eating.  It was not a blackbird nor a starling.

 I'd appreciate any info you could provide on these birds .
