Yes, it was there today, Jan 2, and seen by about 20 birders on the Key West CBC. The bird moves around a lot, but early we had it in a fig tree with lots of delicious fruit about 50 feet down the path from where a guy is carving human torsos from tree trunks. (The male is beginning to be X-rated, but, hey, this is Key West). Later it disdained this tree and spent some time by a little plant nursery on the northwest end of the park. There is a fruiting tree of some kind with dark foliage there. The call is high-pitched, quite loud, ventriloqual, and rather pure in tone without the chipness of a palm, the zeetness of a painted bunting, the seetness of a parula or the rich tenor of a yellow-throated warbler, all of which are calling there too. Remember that Indiginous Park (corner of White st. and Atlantic Blvd) is locked on weekends, but access can be obtained through the bird rehab station next door.

Good Luck
