Lesser Nighthawks at Lucky Hammock.

Thank you Paul Willoughby for reporting the Lesser Nighhawks at Lucky Hammock!! I was able to look for them in the evening yesterday arriving at 5:45 p.m. I would estimate the numbers at 75-100 birds, at Lucky Hammock proper and the east edge of Everglades National Park as well as the north edge of the Annex.

For Paul Willoughby's information as well as everyone else, this represents the largest concentration of Lesser Nighthawks ever reported from Florida!!! At least this is as far as I can tell from the books that I have.
