Larry: Check out these spots (all of which can easily be found on any Miami Map): Bill Baggs (Cape Florida) State Rec. Area; A. D. Barnes Park; Indian Hammocks Park; Matheson Hammock Park; Fairchild Tropical Gardens; grounds of Baptist Hospital. If you can drive south a little ways, don't miss Everglades Nat. Park, Lucky Hammock, and the Redlands. If you have target species, e-mail me and I'll try to help you out. : My girlfriend and I are coming to southern Florida from Jan 10-17. We plan on spending a day and a half birding around southern Miami. We have never been to the area and would be thankful for recommendations for great birding spots.
