M and I saw a Krider's Red Tailed Hawk on the powerline poles between the turnoff to Lucky Hammock and the entrance to ENP yeserday (2/28). CJ told me it has been there periodically thorough the winter....just thought I'd mention it anyway. When we were in Louisiana two weeks ago we were amazed at all the variation we saw in RTHA's...from the lightest Krider's, to the darkest Eastcoast forms (no Harlan's though)....a very cool species!
