Today, 30 patient and fun birders joined up in Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP to search for tail-end spring migrants. The weather was just too perfect, since birds seem to have continued past us. Even the Bobolinks were so high that they were barely audible. Without the pesky distraction of looking at birds, we were able to discuss many interesting topics such as snakes (we found a Yellow Rat Snake), butterflies, plants, fluctuating animal populations in the park and upcoming baby events (Congratulations, Warren!). The Great Cormorant was a tease more than once, flying by the tip of the park but never settling on its rock. Today's list:

Magnificent Frigatebird
Double-crested Cormorant
Great Cormorant
Brown Pelican
Great Egret
Least Tern
White-crowned Pigeon (Thanks, Paul)
Common Ground-Dove
Gray Kingbird
Red-eyed Vireo (good bird for spring)
Black-whiskered Vireo
Blue Jay
Fish Crow
Gray Catbird
Black-and-white Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
American Redstart
Cape May Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler
Northern Cardinal
Bobolink
Common Grackle

Many thanks to everyone!
