Seventeen birders joined me for today's birding tour of North Key Largo. Stops included Card Sound Bridge, Crocodile Lake NWR, Carysfort Circle and Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park. Birding was slow, with only a few lingering migrants seen. We also failed to find two of our target species: Clapper Rail and Mangrove Cuckoo. Most unusual sighting was a male Bobolink, found deep in the coastal hammock along Dynamite Trail in Dagny Johnson SP. We ended our tour with lunch at the Buzzard's Roost in Key Largo.
