The Bahama Mockingbird was present late yesterday at Spanish River Park. The mockingbird sat up high in the marked tree but eventually came down to catch a few insects and gave us great looks. We first saw the mockingbird at 6:20p.m. and last saw it at 7:50p.m. It worked into the thicket next to the marked fig and disappeared where we presume it will roost. We did not see or hear the La Sagra s Flycatcher that was seen yesterday. We met Andy from Boca who was in search of the La Sagra s Fly but had to settle for a Bahama Mockingbird; not too shabby! We also met a very nice birder from Colorado, Victor Luna who is birding his way down the coast.
Great find Larry! Let s hope the Patagonia picnic table effect continues to deliver with more goodies.
Nature is Awesome
