In the wake of the storms there were large numbers of migrants at Crandon today, and they were tired and easily visible. I saw more Cape Mays (probably around 100) than I have ever seen in every plumage imaginable. In total I saw 10 warbler species including a Swainson's at the Bearcut Preserve. Complementary migrants includes a Summer Tanager, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, both bunting species.
I also saw 10 shorebird species, including a single Piping Plover and multiple Solitary and Spotted Sandpipers feeding in the rain pools on the grass.
I never even made it to the old zoo portion of the park.
