I met David La Puma & Florian Veau at Lucky Hammock this morning for some sunny happy birding, if you ignored all the corn-harvesting trucks about. Several species were singing, such as brown thrasher, Northern parula and B&W warbler. Highlights: DICKCISSEL, indigo bunting, painted buntings, Lincoln's sparrow,least flycatcher, Bell's vireo, 10 warblers including yellow-breasted chat, 2 Wilson's, the B-T green, several ovenbirds, and dozens of parulas! They seem to be quite abundant this week- let the migration games begin!
