On Saturday 11th Dec a wintering Blue-winged Warbler was found at Fern Forest Nature Center in Broward County. It was with a warbler flock near the boardwalk behind the nature center where the Cypress Creek Trail loop starts/ends. 2 Magnolia Warbler and 2 male Black-throated Blue Warbler were also present.
Exit I-95 at Atlantic Blvd. in Pompano Beach and go west to Lyon's Road. Fern Forest is only a few blocks south of Atlantic and the entrance is on the west side of Lyon's. Fern Forest opens at 8:00 AM and there is no entrance fee. DeLorme p.115,C2.
