Sorry for the delayed report, had to return to Merritt Island today. Pictures soon to be posted.

The bird (poss. Bar-tailed) was in the walk-in campground (again)in Flamingo. The campground is flooded and lots of shorebirds were feeding in the grass (Buff-breasted, White-rumped, Semi-palms Sandpipers, Dunlin, etc.)

The Godwit was between the restroom and the bay down near the amphitheater area standing in a puddle with Willets and one Marbled Godwit at 9:30am.
About 10am the group flew out in the bay and went west. Unfortunately, I turned to speak to a photographer when they took flight and didn't get great looks at the tail or underwings except the underwings were light (had considered Hudsonian also until ...) Overall appearance is buffy like the Marbled, shorter bill with almost half being orange starting at the base then going black to tip, dark legs, & a prominent supercillium. Take a look at the pics and let me know what you think!!

At 11:10am I found the Godwit again but it was on the muddy shoreline, feeding with Willets, as far west as you could see but the "sun shimmers" were terrible therefore horrible looks.

Good luck to all that go take a look.
