Check the main page of Tropical Audubon and look through the pages with info on where to bird in Miami/Dade. You should easily find 80-90 species in Everglades National Park and a few areas just outside the park's enterance, such as Lucky Hammock and "Flynn's". A few more closer areas to look would be Matheson Hammock County Park in Coral Gables, A.D. Barnes Park in Miami, and Bill Baggs/Cape Florida State Recreation Area on Key Biscayne. Matheson has a few species of shorebirds around, parrots, and warblers. Barnes may have a few more warbler species, fewer parrot and parkaeet species, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and maybe a Spot-breasted Oriole. Bill Baggs/Cape Florida and the close-by Crandon Park Beach are worth the visit. In Crandon, you would get 5 gull species, ~10 shorebird species, Red-breasted Merganser, maybe a gannet depending on the wind direction and strength. Bill Baggs has some good species, especially as far as raptors go.

In the way of guides, I'd hire Larry Manfredi for a day trip. That would be the best way to see good birds this trip, without much hassle trying to find birds in an unfamiliar area. His site is:

Good luck
