I stayed near home today and birded for a few hours at nearby Pelican Bay Community Park here in Naples. I saw the following migrants:
DICKCISSEL (2nd one in about 8 years here in Naples that I've seen)
Indigo Bunting x20+
Baltimore Oriole x2
Summer Tanager x3
Scarlet Tanager x1
Swainson's Thrush x3
Rose-breasted Grosbeak x3
Worm-eating Warbler x1
Palm Warbler x1
Prairie Warbler x1
Magnolia Warbler x1
Tennessee Warbler x3
Northern Parula x1
Black-throated Green Warbler x2
Peter Thayer (Thayer Birding Software) was also able to see some of these birds, including the Dickcissel, before they moved on. The wind has shifted and also died-down so i don't think these birds will remain much longer. Still nice to see some migrants in Collier County, which doesn't really have any migrant traps. . . .
