This afternoon had to go to work and had 3 pretty good birds all within 5 minutes near Sunset and SW 102 Ave: Swallow-tailed Kite, Spot-breasted Orioles (2) and White-crowned Pigeon.

Yesterday ventured to the western edge of Indian Hammocks Park in the rain for about 45 minutes. Highlights were Cedar Waxwings and Yellow-chevroned Parakeets overhead, Indigo Buntings (male and female), Cardinals on nest, Brown Thrasher, Purple Martin and 1 male Redstart.

Near home 2 brave Common Grackles flying after Cooper's Hawk that seemed more interested in displaying white feathers around rump as it flew. The Common Nighthawks have been noisy and were making weird noises (with feathers I believe) while diving.
