I, Antonio Balladares stand corrected on the merganser issue. Brian and Alex you guys are correct. It is a Red-breasted Merganser and not a Common Merganser. Alex your a great birder and know your stuff pretty well. Thanks for your paragraph on the field marks, it really help me out.
