Nesting Ruby-throated Hummingbird

I found a Ruby-throated Hummingbird sitting on an active nest this morning at the Kirby Storter Boardwalk in the Big Cypress National Preserve. This is at the extreme southern range of its breeding range in North America and according to Rick West compiler of the current Florida Breeding Bird Atlas, no RTHUs have been reported in this "quad" in over 25 years. Also, it is an early date for breeding RTHUs. Cool!
