On Monday, November 29, 2004, I observed a total of 140 American Goldfinches in flocks varying from 6 birds to 75 birds all headed in a north to northeast direction. These were observed between 9:00 to 10:30 in the morning at Seacrest Natural area. This is by far the largest number of goldfinches I've managed to record here in south Florida.
