I am watching my yard birds closely to see when they might leave. This morning I have already heard the Catbirds singing/the Painted Buntings also. The Catbirds are very musical. This is the first year I have had them on a regular basis(four of them). The Ovenbird remains. I am seeing the Bronzed Cowbird at the feeder more frequently.A well fed male Black-throated Blue Warbler crossed the lower bare branches of the Mango tree allowing close views. Other common birds are present also. The Catbirds feed on the ground often. They turn the leaves much in the same way as the Ovenbird. I have never seen a Indigo Bunting in my area. I am wondering if anyone in the general area from the Miami Zoo to S.Dixie Hwy. has seen one.
