Hurricane-pruning of the sea grapes now affords a panoramic view of the Atlantic on South Hutchinson Island. Strings of southbound Northern Gannets (about a 50/50 mix of adults and immatures) were continuous all Thanksgiving weekend, with many pausing and actively plunge-feeding. One flight of about 50 scoters far offshore appeared to be Blacks, though the distance prevented a positive ID. Also saw an immature Great Black-Backed Gull on the south causeway across the Indian River Lagoon.
