: Coral Spring Water (or maybe its North Spring Water District...the one with the office off of Ramblewood Drive west of University) district offices had and still has exotic geese (good alarms). Occasionally they leave home and wander around the area. We have seen them twice at University and Sawgrass. We consider them as "escaped" or released birds.

I knew they were not native or established exotics (though I wonder if they could start a population if allowed to wander around unchecked), but I get a kick out of seeing them. I do miss the flocks of Canada Geese I used to see all the time in New Jersey, and especially miss their honking as they flew overhead.

One memory that stands out for me was at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in New York. One day a flock of hundreds of Snow Geese flew in to land on the water, so close over our heads that I felt as if I could reach up and touch them.
